After finishing a fossil dig in Kemmerer, Wyoming, we drove out of the gulley the prehistoric lake would have been in and stopped at the top to ‘make sandwiches’. When getting back in the car Kane shouted that he had found another fossil, but it wasn’t a fish and told Kallie to come look. Kallie came around to other side of the car and Kane said “this one is really shiny too”. Kane then got down on one knee and asked Kallie to marry him. Sandwich still in hand, she responded by saying “I have a sandwich in my hand” and he told her to “put it in the other hand”. After that, Kallie said yes!
