Growing up, we knew of each other - but didn't really know one another. As Kane likes to say, "Justin went to a different high school and was two whole grades ahead of me." After a one year post-high school jaunt in Los Angeles, Kane returned to the South for college at Ole Miss. As fate would have it, we were finally connected in February of 2008 through the grace of a very special mutual friend. At the time, we lived 5 hours apart - thus prompting Kane to make the 250 mile drive each weekend to see Justin for the rest of that school year. In the fall, Kane transferred to Millsaps College removing the long distance from the equation - and the rest is history!

Kane proposed at LA's famed Troubadour during a Jessie J concert. The timing of the proposal had not been planned. Kane simply locked eyes with the artist and asked her if he could propose to his partner of 10 years. The British songstress was happy to oblige and Kane took the stage, reflecting on their long relationship and throwing in a couple jokes before inviting Justin to the stage and taking a knee. He said yes and the crowd roared. It was a moment we'll never forget.
