Robert and I served in the Marine Corps together; MALS-14. We deployed to Desert Storm together also. We lost contact for about 25 years. But thanks to Facebook, about 4 years ago we began a friendship. "Hello", "How you doing?", for about 2 years. Then a little more frequent, until November 2018. For some reason the day we had lunch November 12th, we both felt something we had been praying for.
Robert asked me to meet him in Hawaii in December, before we even had our first kiss. I had an idea he was going to do something on the 2nd or the 3rd of February while we were there, but didn't realize it was going to be his hand in marriage. So we went we for a hike, up Diamond Head. I didn't think I was going to make it to the the top of that beautiful volcano. It was a test of all tests, Thank God the weather was perfect. So, we both made it to the top! And as we were leaving the lookout point, Robert says wait a minute... I was saying " no not here" over and over. He thought I was saying no already. Haha... well 2 guys that he worked with were with us and they knew what was going down. They stated filming and Robert went to his knee (Bless his heart, after climbing all this steps). I started crying and said yes! If you can make it to Loveland, Colorado we would love to celebrate our day with you.
