Tripp and Karis have been connected for longer than they can remember. They both grew up at The People's Church, in Franklin. Their parents' small groups walked alongside each other for years, and they had been following each others' lives on Facebook. Karis' best friend Ruby's late mom, Carlee Vaughn, was Tripp's Preschool choir teacher. Tripp's sister, Lily, even babysit for Ruby and her siblings. Both Karis and Tripp, and their siblings, were involved in the churches choir group, led by Karis' Grandmother, Diane Dawson. It was not until college that Tripp and Karis fully met and began to get to know each other. They first met in 2021 when some mutual friends from Tripp's fraternity visited Nashville for Fall break. They then became mutuals and would say "Hi" in passing. In 2024, Tripp started to become interested in Karis and tried to reach out more. Eventually, she said "yes" and immediately called her mom to tell her the news. Both Tripp and Karis' parents were so excited and began messaging about the dates. And the rest is history! God's hand has been in every season and stage of Tripp and Karis' story. It is evident that He prepared and chose them specifically for each other at just the right time!
