We're Getting Married!

Throughout our entire lives we have always been just shy of crossing each others paths, until one day in October of 2014 in a little town in Texas, two Irish fans would meet. Kyle being from a small Indiana town about 40 minutes from my bigger Indiana town, our high schools rivaling in sports, and both growing up in Notre Dame households, we couldn't believe we found each other in Harker Heights, Texas. From the moment he asked me if I had ever eaten at the Shiny Place, and I responded with, "Schoops?", we knew it was fate.

We were headed to Fort Worth to Kyle's parents for the weekend like we always did. We woke up on Saturday morning to head to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins for carving that day. We got back to his parents, we all carved our pumpkins, and then Kyle's mom asked me if I wanted to go to Target. I was hesitant because there was a Notre Dame game starting soon and I didn't want to miss it, but I can never pass up a trip to Target. When we returned from our shopping, Kyle's dad had the camera set up in the backyard ready to take our pictures with our pumpkins (this isn't out of the norm because we always take pictures when we are there). My stubborn self was trying to pose everyone against what Kyle was trying to set up, but eventually I sat down and told him to hand everyone their pumpkins. He handed me his and asked what was on it and I look and start to read the words "Will you...." and then my heart stops. I know what the rest says, and I jump up and say, "YES!" with tears filling my eyes. He said, "I haven't asked anything yet!" and proceeded to say the most loving words. It was the most perfect proposal I could have ever imagined.
