Thanks to a mutual friend, AJ, who organized a spontaneous group brunch, we met in the heart of NYC during the midst of the pandemic. Given our shared love for the city, we made the best of a unique time in history.

The day before Kate's birthday, Justin proposed in our downtown NYC neighborhood, right in the heart of it all, in the park just outside our favorite coffee shop. Interestingly, the coffee shop is owned by none other than Hugh Jackman, and it's our little weekend ritual to enjoy coffee here, as well as hit the local Tribeca farmer's market. As a bonus, we often spot a few celebrities while sipping our coffee on the stoop (Hi, Bradley Cooper). With friends and family discreetly waiting nearby, the day transformed into an unforgettable celebration that lasted from the moment he popped the question and (wayyyy) beyond.
