Resort Map & Venue Location This is a map of the resort where our wedding will be held. Our specific venue location, The BoatHouse Villa, is circled in purple for easy reference.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask you RSVP as soon as possible, but by June 15th at the latest

Question

How do I find the location of the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve included a resort map above with our venue location circled in purple to help guide you. There are a few different event spaces on-site, and there may be other weddings happening that weekend, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to find the right spot. We recommend taking a quick look at the map before arriving so you can head straight to the celebration!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking available throughout the Bay Pointe resort. Please reference the map above for all the nearby parking options.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the ceremony begins. Just enough time to get settled and ready for the fun to start! Since it’s an outdoor July wedding, we suggest not arriving too early. We don’t want anyone melting in the sun longer than necessary.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be in the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the BoatHouse Villa, so no need to travel between venues. Just relax and enjoy the celebration with us!

Question

Will the ceremony and recpetion be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the BoatHouse lawn, right along the water. Fingers crossed for a light lake breeze, but please still keep the July sun in mind when choosing your attire. Ladies may also want to consider footwear that works well for walking on grass. The reception will be held in a partially covered space, with a tent and porch covering that is connected to The BoatHouse. This will allow for protection if it rains, but it is still open-air, so we recommend planning accordingly.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wedding Day: Semi-Formal Attire Men are to wear a suit or sport coat and dress pants. No jeans. Women can wear cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits The Night Before Welcome Event: Beach Attire Men should wear linen pants, khakis, golf pants, and short-sleeved button downs. Women to wear maxi dresses, sundresses, and sandals. For both events, please consider footwear that works well for walking on grass.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we’re planning to keep this celebration primarily adults-only. The only exception will be for very close family members, our nieces and nephews. We hope this gives everyone else a chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy a fun night out with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because we’re keeping our wedding small, we’ve only extended plus-ones to guests’ significant others we’ve had the chance to meet. If your invitation includes “and guest,” we’d love for you to bring someone! If not, we kindly ask that you join us on your own. With such a limited guest list, we had to be thoughtful about every seat. We appreciate your grace and understanding with this, it truly means the world to us!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We’ll be having a buffet-style dinner with chicken and pasta served separately, so there will be options for vegetarians. If you have any additional dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know as soon as possible! We want to make sure everyone is well fed and taken care of!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We’ll be hosting a welcome event the night before the wedding, and we’d love for everyone to attend! It will be at the same location as the ceremony and reception. There will be lights bites provided and a cash bar with drinks available for purchase. We’re planning for the wedding day to be full of dancing and fun, but we also truly value getting time to connect with each of you. The welcome event will give us a chance to spend more time visiting and thanking everyone for coming, so we can soak up the dance floor a bit more on the big day!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We recommend Gun Lake Casino, which is just a short drive away. There is also a hotel on-site at Bay Pointe Inn. Because the resort hosts multiple events, space here is very limited.
