Our story began on March 17, 2021, with a simple message that quickly turned into countless conversations. What started as playful banter—me teasing him that he wasn’t country enough and him sending camo photos in return—soon felt like a true modern-day pen pal connection. When he asked what I was looking for, I sent back a true novel (iykyk), and within those words, we realized we were searching for the very same things in life and in love. Originally planning to meet in May in Florida, we decided we couldn’t wait that long. On a whim, I flew to Chicago, and on April 19, 2021, we met for our first date at the aquarium, followed by dinner at Chicago Cut. From that moment on, everything felt easy and certain—there were no games, just intention. With how demanding our careers were, we had to decide fairly quickly if this was worth it, and without hesitation, it was. We fell deeply in love that summer in New York City, followed by seasons of long distance in San Francisco and as far as Japan. Through it all, JD made the cross-country move to Nashville, we built our dream home, and traveled the world together—from the Maldives and Dubai to St. Lucia and Italy. With every chapter, our love only grew stronger. On November 3, 2025, in Rome, surrounded by history, beauty, and the presence of holiness, he asked me to be his forever. This November 3 will be even more special as we privately marry before our ceremony, holding that day forever sacred in our hearts. And because celebrating with family and friends means everything to us, we can’t wait to gather everyone for our official ceremony on November 8. Nearly five years together, we know without a shadow of a doubt that we are each other’s person, and we can’t wait to officially begin our forever—“I will love you till the cows come home”
