It all began in 2017 at Montana State University, where they first crossed paths. Cody was the cool, collected instructor for a chemistry class, and Kandiss was the eager student trying to make sense of it all. Little did they know that class would set the stage for something much bigger than just balancing chemical equations. By the summer of 2018, they realized their chemistry wasn’t just academic, it was undeniable. They officially started dating and discovered that together, they made the perfect reaction. Since then, they've shared so many adventures as a family. Snowboarding in Red Lodge, celebrating birthdays in sunny Arizona, rolling the dice in Las Vegas, and spending magical Christmases in Hawaii have been just a few of the highlights. They’ve splashed through water parks in Destin, Florida, explored the beauty of Glacier National Park and Joshua Tree, strolled the streets of San Francisco, and carved their way down the slopes of Mammoth Mountain and Tahoe. They’ve also found time to explore Arkansas and Portland, all while juggling life as parents to Bella and Grayson. After graduating with their bachelor’s degrees in Montana, they both continued their education at UC Davis in 2021. Kandiss dove into her PhD studies in Plant Biology, while Cody began his journey to becoming an anesthesiologist. Moving to California was a big step, but it’s been an incredible chapter for their family, filled with growth, learning, and new adventures. Of course, the greatest adventure of all came in May 2023, when they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Amelia, into their lives. From a chemistry class in Montana to building a life and family together, their journey has been full of love, laughter, and so many unforgettable moments.
