How lucky was I to be so alphabetically near Kandice Emily Roberts when I was the new kid in Mrs. Daly’s 2nd grade class. I took my seat next to her in our desk clump and we’ve never looked back. We spent so much of our formative years together, growing up on sleepovers and belly laughs, school trips and choral harmonies. I still brag about her any chance I get, to literally anyone. She is one of the dearest people in my life and I am so lucky not only to know and love her, but to stand next to her on one of the most important days of her life.

Hi, my name is Sid and I live in Salt Lake City. I met Justin during our college days at the University of Texas at Austin, and was lucky enough to move to Boston at the same time as him in 2017. We've kept in touch through group chats all these years, and I even got to take him skiing here in Utah a couple years ago. Kandice and I met at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where we trauma bonded, and the rest was history. We coincidentally matched into the exact same internal medicine residency program at Washington University in St. Louis where she lived in the apartment below me. We have somehow survived medical school, residency, the start of fellowship, and an international two-week trip without a hit to our friendship. I am so excited for our next milestone together as I get to stand by Kandice’s side as she marries Justin! I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow together in marriage!
