FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To allow us enough time to cross our I's and dot our T's (and make sure everyone has something to eat!) we ask that you RSVP no later than April 1, 2024. You can RSVP by sending back the RSVP card OR digitally on our website! If you forget to RSVP, please bring a chair and a sandwich ;)

Question

What is the wedding day itinerary?

Answer

Gather - I do - Photos - Snacks - Intros - Dinner - Party!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 1:30 PM CST. We ask that you arrive with enough time to find a seat and get settled - at least twenty minutes before the ceremony begins (Between 12:30 and 1:10 is golden)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail - Semi-Formal - Dressy Casual While we want everyone who attends to be comfortable and ready to enjoy the night's festivities, we would like to remind our guests that even with a "Dressy Casual" dress code, a wedding is still a formal event. Please no jeans, shorts, t-shirts, or running shoes. Feel free to dress up as much as you'd like! We all know as guests we aren't supposed to wear white to a wedding. Kindly allow this to be your reminder.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your wedding invitation will be addressed accordingly to how many guests we expect to arrive from your household. If you see "And Guest" then you are welcome to bring one guest, but please account for them on your RSVP. If your envelope is addressed to "The ABC Family" we are inviting you, your spouse/significant other, and your children, but we are old and don't remember how many everyone has. Please account for your entire family on your RSVP. If you are trying to RSVP for your family, and there are not enough spots listed, please contact us right away so we can add your missing party member! - Otherwise, please use the mail RSVP card and indicate your party size.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely - we just ask that parents keep an eye on their children throughout the entirety of the night. We understand that a wedding is not the most exciting place for children, and they will need entertainment. We will have a children's table for kids ages 5-12 with coloring and activities, along with a table for 13+ kids. We will have a seating chart for our guest, and we would like all kids to be together in the same area, provided they are 5 or older. Five and under will be sat with their parent(s) unless you feel comfortable allowing your 3-4 year old to sit on their own. For the more energetic children, there is a playground at the reception site, and you will be welcome to take your child there as long as you are outside to supervise them. Children 12 and under will have a different menu, which will consist of chicken nuggets, apple sauce, and choice of chips.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Because of the Saturday evening service at Good Shepherd Church, we ask that you either park further down the parking lot away from the church to allow room for the church parishioners, or be ready to move your vehicle after the ceremony to the parking lot behind the school (Which will lead you right to the reception area side doors)

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not providing transportation to and from hotels to the ceremony. However, Evansville does have Uber and Lyft capabilities, and the ceremony and reception are in the same parking lot as each other, so no need for multiple trips to different places!

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We encourage you to capture your own memories, and to help us get different perspectives of our special day. Our only request is that your ceremony photo taking remains respectful of the Church (no flash, no getting up and down in the aisle) and that you are conscious of our wedding photographer and refrain from getting in her shot.

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Yes, and to help us keep track of all of our guests views at our wedding please use our wedding hashtag #iraleyloveyou so we can see all of your beautiful photos in one place.

Question

What is your wedding hashtag?

Answer

#iraleyloveyou

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will be taking time after the ceremony for pictures, but our reception is being held directly across the parking lot where we hope you'll come together for cocktail hour while we capture some memories. We promise to be as quick as possible - enjoy the pre-dinner refreshments while you wait!

Question

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

While we hope the choices we have made for our dinner suit everyone in attendance, we are unable to make special requests in regards to allergens or restrictions as we are serving a buffet style meal. If you have a severe allergy, or urgent dietary need, please reach out to us and we can see what can be done on a person-to-person basis. If you're just trying to diet, wedding dinner, drink, and cake calories don't count ;)

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be hosting tea, lemonade, a signature beverage, beer, and wine - its on us, please enjoy responsibly. Spirits drinks (think Jack & Coke, or Rum & Diet) will not be served at the venue, for purchase or hosted.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

All of our registry items from Amazon, Macy's, Target, etc., are listed in one convenient place: here on our Zola website!

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 956 S Saint James Blvd Evansville, IN 47714. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
