Back down memory lane… I transferred to Clayton State University and my first class was that Monday. Oh how nervous was I to be that “transfer student” and dreading encountering new people. Monday arrived and I attended my classes. In one of my classes I met Josh (Richard’s friend). Josh was the first person I met at Clayton and I stuck to him like glue because hey, remember I didn’t know anyone! After attending classes I would always go into the computer lab to do my work. Josh just so happen to walk in and a few minutes later Chad arrived (He introduced himself as Chad, although his first name is Richard). From the initial introduction, we automatically connected and remained friends throughout our college career. Fast forward, after graduation and years later, he reached out to me and extended an invitation for me to join him at Clayton State University’s homecoming. My response was “boy, I’m not coming to their weak homecoming.” He responded and said “just come.” Of course, I went! After homecoming ended, we attended our favorite restaurant that we always would enjoy during college. We picked up right where we left off and experienced the most in depth conversation. We then continued to date and just simply enjoy each other’s company. Fast forward, August 10, 2020 we welcomed our beautiful daughter Ava to the world and on May 29, 2021 he proposed at my 30th birthday party. Wow! How life can change within such a short period of time. On November 11, 2022 we look forward to celebrating our unique special union with our family and friends. We are so blessed to be able to call each other best friends as well as soulmates.
