Kyle and I met on an online dating service! He came over to my apartment where I had planned to cook him a nice dinner and spend the evening having great conversation. However, our evening turned into awful lasagna and laughing so hard we actually cried! From that day on, I knew one day I would steal his last name! Since that day we continue to fall more in love with each other, and we thank God that he brought us together May 13, 2019.
Kyle had been planning on proposing for several months; he told my friends and family he was going to propose when the bluebonnets bloomed that spring. As many know I'm sure, my grandmother isn't the world's best at keeping secrets! I knew Kyle's plans months before the bluebonnets bloomed. It was the LONGEST few months I have EVER lived through! However, right when the bluebonnets were blooming, COVID-19 wreaked havoc on our world and changed his plans. Even after all of that, Kyle still proposed on a beautiful evening on the deck of our first home together. All the bluebonnets in Texas couldn't have made it a more beautiful and perfect proposal. It was the easiest YES I've ever said in my life! It was about damn time!
