Wedding Party

Mothers, Fathers, Siblings, Maid of Honor and Best Man of the Bride and Groom

Kaitie Hendrickson

Bride

Hi! Some of you know me as Kaitie, some as Kaitlin, some as Munchie and to my dad, Poosie. I can't believe that i'm finally marrying the man of my dreams, and I can't believe that I'll be able to celebrate it all with you. Currently Brian and I live in a cute little house in Marietta, GA. He's a filmmaker and i'm an artist. Our lives never seem to get boring as one of us is always getting into some kind of creative project (or mess.)

Brian De Contreras

Groom

I like to think I'm a pretty laid back guy, if i had to sum up my joys in life it would be: Having time for the people i love (like Kaitie). Creating I’ve loved art of just about any kind from a young age but I have really grown to love photography and more specifically motion picture. I’ve had the fortune to work in film full time since 2012. Since then I have worked on award winning HBO documentaries, TV commercials, Movies, TV shows and of course a whole host of crappy music videos, reality TV shows and corporate video ;) . Kaitie and I have been together for about 7 ½ years now and it has been nothing but a dream. I’m so excited to marry my best friend and I look forward to continuing our awesome life together.

Faith Parent Hendrickson

Mother of the Bride

My mother is one of the sweetest women I know. She's very loving and welcoming with always a smile on her face. She's a business savvy jack of all trades who usually goes by the name "Mayor of the Greenway" by many because she knows someone everywhere she goes! When our family had The White Boys ( our Bichon Frise Pups) she would take them for a walk and make friends everywhere she went. Not only is she a good conversationalist but she is one hell of a good cook. I think she is also known as "The Queen of Pancakes, Spaghetti, Meatloaf, London Broil Steak, Roasted Chicken and Whipped Potatoes (Yes, that right, I said WHIPPED!), etc. The list really does go on.

Denise Luken

Mother of the Groom

The woman who gave me life, thanks for that mom! I could not ask for a better mom, she always supported my creativity and other endeavors. When i wanted to ride my bike 2.5 miles to school she got me a cell phone. When I wanted to start welding and fabricating my own bikes she parked her car in the driveway so i could use the garage. When i couldn't beat the final boss battle in super mario 64 she stayed up late defeating Bowser for me. Right now she runs the help desk team at NC state university where they keep the collage up and running. Her two new Pups, Ziggy and penny keep life interesting at home especially when her new grand baby Wyatt comes over for playdates at grandma’s house.

Tom (Thomas) Hendrickson

Father of the Bride

An amazing father, woodworker, pilot and veteran. When I was a young child we would build wooden projects at the local Home Depot together and then he'd let me paint them when we got home. He would let me draw on his face for Halloween and built me a giant wooden box that I kept my millions of stuffed animals in. He took me to painting classes back in the day and will paint with me today if I ask him to. Encouraging me to create and make stuff while still being able to have fun, play and be a little girl helped make me the woman I am today.

Bob De Contreras

Father of the Groom

My dad and I have had so many adventures together from Boy Scout camping trips to our avid paintball days to oh so many projects in the garage. I had it pretty swell growing up with such an amazing father. My dad has sailed his boat island hopping around the caribbean he was a pilot for many years when he lived in LA he’s even conducted studies for the US congress. He spent many years working for IBM before moving on to help build other companies in the triangle. He now runs Research Triangle Business Advisors where he coaches CEOs on how to better run their companies.

James Hendrickson

Brother of the Bride

James (or Jamie as I call him) is a wonderful musician. I remember him getting his very first guitar when he was a kid for Christmas. It was black with red flames on it like all of the cool kids growing up wish they had. Now he has graduated from a top Musician's school on Hollywood Blvd and currently writes and plays music while teaches guitar lessons in Apex, NC. Growing up we never fought much except during the times I would severely bug him to get his attention (but being his big sister that was my job.) As we've gotten older we've only grown closer - being able to relate to one another better in life and interests. Now he's the friend I go to I want to geek out over anime, video games, music, food or a good drink. He's always got my back and will always be my friend. He's the best.

Bill Luken

Stepfather of the Groom

I’m so happy to have bill in my life, he was a huge influence on me growing up. I remember he would take me on long bike rides all around town exploring backroads, mountain bike trails and we would always stop off at a convenience store or restaurant for refreshments before heading home clad in mud and summer sweat. Bill has seen the world working with IBM and now Lenovo. It’s always fun hearing his stories for trips abroad. Bill says one of his favorite places in the world is the Swiss Alps, hopefully we can follow in his footsteps and make it out for some skiing and a train ride sometime soon. Bill enjoys golf, racquetball, Beer and a hanging out on the back deck with his pups Ziggy and Penny.

Erin Woodard

Maid of Honor

I've known Erin since she was three years old. We lived a few houses down from each other growing up and we consider ourselves sisters. We can go months without talking due to our busy lives and then pick back up right were we were. She is an amazing writer, friend, sister, Star Wars lover, barista, animal lover, rock climber, anime watcher, food nommer, etc. When put into a room together we never stop talking. She's a great companion and I'm proud to call her my Maid of Honor.

Stephanie Mewherter

Sister of the Groom

If you look through old pictures from when i was but a babe you’ll see multiple examples of stephanie holding my hand, rocking me to sleep and helping me get dressed for my day. Actually she tried to dress me clear into middle school because for some reason she did not like my cargo pants and spiked hair. Stephanie Runs the marketing and sales departments at Meridian kiosks in Aberdeen NC where they make interactive Video kiosks for huge brands around the world. Stephanie is the mommy of my perfect little one and a half year old nephew wyatt who is my favorite little guy to see when i’m back in NC. Stephanie is also an accomplished interior designer who has had her designs built into schools around NC.

Thomas Mewherter

Brother-in-Law of the Groom

You can't ask for a better brother- in- law, Thomas is a loving husband to my sister, an awesome dad to my perfect little nephew Wyatt and a great friend. Thomas owns a plumbing company in Raeford NC where he provides a much needed service to the community as well as a solid line of work for his employees. Thomas is a guy who works with his hands all the time in fact Stephanie and thomas Built the house they currently live in. Thomas is a country boy that enjoys a host of country staples such as Riding ATVs, Driving side-by-sides and early morning hunting.

Wyatt Mewherter

Nephew of the Groom

Wyatt is the son of Stephanie and Thomas. He will be a little under two years old by the time you meet him, and he has the sweetest smile and the squishiest cheeks!

Gary Meyer

Best Man

I’ve known Gary since we were but wee Cub Scouts, I would see him just about every week at boy scout meetings way through our 18th birthdays. We both have a love of photography and would constantly nerd out about gear. Gary is now a super fancy designer at Cardinal solutions in RTP. He works on so many super interesting and diverse projects from web design, user interface, virtual reality, augmented reality, logo design and a ton of other cool stuff. He just got married last year to Blythe Meyer and is a proud new homeowner.
