We met in an acting class at Roger Williams University in 2017. Marissa grew up doing musical theatre and Tony was a speech and debate champion in high school. We would chat briefly at the beginning of class and watch each other perform monologues. We would both go back to our dorms and tell our roommates about each other. (Marissa also sent sneaky Snapchats of Tony to her family, so creepy) It wasn't until a class field trip that things really took off. Marissa was running late to catch the bus and hoped to sit next to Tony, but someone was already next to him. When we got to the theatre to see "A Midsummer Night's Dream", we stayed toward the back of the group so we could get seats next to each other. We whispered back and forth throughout the whole show and kept the conversation going on the bus ride back to school. We both gushed to our families about our day, knowing something special was happening. About a week later, we went on our first date. We stayed at the restaurant for so long that the waitress kicked us out of the booth. Then, it was Spring Break. Tony was in New York visiting a friend, and he decided to meet Marissa in Times Square because we couldn't wait the week to see each other again. That was when Tony asked Marissa to be his girlfriend (photos from that night below). We dated through the rest of college and did long distance from Boston to New York until 2022, when we moved in together. Tony proposed to Marissa on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the middle of the ocean. It was magical. Now that you know us a little better, we hope the wedding is even more special. We're so excited to celebrate our love with all of the people we love!
