We met at Canyon Junior high in the cafeteria. Clint and his friends used to follow my friends around the cafeteria. We talked a couple times in junior high but we didn’t become a couple until high school at the end of my sophomore year and his junior year.
My parents had asked me to go to sonic one night and I had agreed. We were sitting in the drive-thru line when I started freaking out in the back seat. My mom said, “Kandace what is wrong with you?” I was like OMG, there is Clint Messer!!!!!! “Kandace, You don’t need to like him, he is a punk!!”
After 7 long years of dating, spending time together, me bugging to get married, Clint finally popped the question on December 15, 2018. It started off with my graduation and graduation lunch with family and friends. Later that night, everybody in my family had planned our annual trip to the botanical gardens to see the christmas lights. I lost count of how many time we walked around that place and I had hardly spoken to Clint since we had got there. I knew something was up but had no idea he was going to propose. He finally found the perfect spot and asked. It was the most magical moment of my life, other than my laughing at the whole thing to keep from ugly crying.
