I suggest that if flying into Houston, William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) would be preferred. If not renting a vehicle, this airport will be closer to the hotels suggested below ("cheaper" Uber/lyft).

William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is around 31 minutes from the hotels.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is around 45 minutes.

Below I have listed Hotels that will be near the welcome dinner and the wedding Venue. I suggest utilizing uber/lyft as transportation.  Hotel to the welcome dinner depending on which hotel would be either a 3 or 8 minute drive. Hotel to the wedding venue depending on which hotel would be either a 13 or 16 minute drive. 

In Sugar Land there are many choices for Restaurants and Bar's. Houston midtown is about 21 minutes away if anyone would like to visit downtown.
