Kam and Justin met during their sophomore year at Dominican University of California, only to discover they lived just four houses apart. One Halloween party (and a lost beer pong game) later, sparks flew—and on November 28, 2020, they officially began their journey together.

Kamryn pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and, after graduation, proudly became a registered nurse. Justin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, followed by a Master of Science in Accounting. After graduating together from Dominican, the two celebrated with an unforgettable trip to Barcelona, Spain! That summer was spent preparing for their next big adventure. In September, they packed up their lives, hit the road, and drove 2,200 miles across the country to start a new chapter together in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Justin and Kam planned a long weekend getaway to Gulf Shores, Alabama. On Saturday evening, Justin suggested they take photos by the water—a perfect excuse since Kam had been begging for pictures to fill the bare walls of their future home. What Kam didn’t know was that Justin had been planning this moment for months. As the sun set over the gulf, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The moment was magical, captured beautifully by a photographer hiding nearby. Kam, of course, said yes! Nearly five years in the making, it was the perfect beginning to their next chapter.
