How We Met

6-16-16

We met when Clinton came to Seattle for the first time on a long weekend. He was there visiting an old friend from Missouri. I had become pretty close with that friend, Seth, at the restaurant I was working at during that time. I bumped into them at my restaurant on the first day of that trip. Clint and I had an immediate connection and hung out and talked until late that night. The next day we met up again. And the day after that. And the day after that. It was quickly clear that we had very similar interests and even got to enjoy our first hike together that very weekend. Even after he went back home to Nevada we kept in touch, talking about anything and everything. Despite the distance, a few months later we decided that this was really something special and made it official. We haven't gone a day without talking since that very first night we met.

The Engagement

8-3-19

We headed to Orcas Island for a whale watching trip and weekend away. The weather was gorgeous and the whale watching trip was a success. After a couple hours out on the water, we went back to camp to relax and get some food before the hike we planned to do later. The hike was lovely. It lead us up to the top of a mountain that overlooked the islands. Clint planned it so we would make it to the top for sunset. It was there, after about 5 minutes of enjoying the view, that he got down on one knee and proposed. I said, "Yes!" and we were engaged!

The Wedding

8-8-20

Even though we had to cancel our dream wedding in Hawaii we are so excited that we've managed to (with lots of help from family and friends!) pull together an entirely different wedding here in WA. We know we can't have everyone that we wanted due to restrictions, but we are so blessed that our immediate family will be joining us as we say, "I do!" We look forward to planning a future wedding reception/celebration for all of those we love and care about to attend. When things are safe again we will have one here in Washington and another in Missouri. Keep an eye out for invitations to those celebrations! Thank you to everyone for your love and support through these trying times. We love you all SO much. <3
