Kamryn's version our story:

I received a text from the Warner cheerleading coach asking me if I would accept a scholarship to join the cheer team. I immediately declined because I had planned to attend Polk State College for two years and then transfer to UF. My parents insisted I pray about it and consider the option. I did so, and within a week I felt a strong calling to accept the offer. I had no idea why, I thought my plans were set on a different path. Jacob and I met on the cheer team at Warner University. As soon as I saw Jacob, I had a feeling that this might be the reason God called me to this school. I was not ready for a relationship at the time, but Jacob waited and continued to be patient. He slowly began to heal a heart he didn't break. He asked me on a date, and I agreed. I remember being so nervous. When he arrived to pick me up, he knocked on my front door with flowers, opened my car door, and drove me to dinner. After dinner he asked if I wanted to drive around and listen to music, so we did. We ended up in Frostproof in the middle of nowhere riding dirt roads and exploring. He stopped the car, turned up the music and asked me to get out of the car. He began to dance with me, and fireflies were flying all around us. I had never been treated nor had a special moment like this before. After that night, I knew he was the man I would marry one day. No one ever treated me with the amount of respect and care that he did. I thanked God for sending me to Warner so that I crossed paths with the love of my life. It's crazy to think that four years later I still get butterflies every time I see him or even talk about him. He makes me the happiest I have ever been. My biggest blessing in life is having him by my side. I cannot wait to marry him and begin this crazy adventure called life together. Looking back, it was all God's plan for us to meet and fall in love, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Jacob's version of our story:

I originally chose Warner University because of a football scholarship, as well as the Agricultural program. My sophomore year, I was talked into joining the cheer team as well for competition in the off season. Along comes my senior year. Our very first meeting with the new cheer team, we were all seated at two person tables with a person we hadn't met yet across from us. Kamryn and I were seated at the same table. I was immediately in awe of her beauty and personality. Although we didn't talk much that day, I knew there was something special about her. Time went on, practice after practice we slowly grew closer and before I knew it, I was asking her on a date. She was hesitant at first, but eventually agreed. After that first date, I knew that I was walking into something real and had to hold on to it. She was so easy to get along with, so beautiful of course, and if you know Kam, you know that she is full of life and energy. One of our dates was at a place called Best View in Babson Park overlooking Crooked Lake. We laid a blanket down in the grass and had a classy Pizza Hut dinner and watched the sunset. This particular date was very special to me because as I looked at her with the orange light of the sunset hitting her face and stunning green eyes, that is the moment I fell in love. We dated for a couple months, and we saw each other pretty much every day. Then, on October 6th 2020, I asked her to be mine. From there it has been nothing but love and fun. I am so thankful for these past four years and the rest of life to come with her. I thank God Almighty for bringing us together and blessing me with such a loving, caring, selfless woman. I love you forever Kamryn.
