We Are Getting Married!

Ours is a love story that began amidst the mountains and vibrant campus life of Western Carolina University. Fate brought us together in the most unexpected yet delightful way, intertwining our paths as students on this picturesque campus nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It all started with shared friends, where we quickly discovered mutual interests and a deep connection that transcended academics. As we spent more time together, studying turned into conversations that effortlessly flowed into laughter and long drives across campus. Each day brought new adventures, from spontaneous coffee dates at Dunkin' to cheering together at Catamount football games. Our relationship blossomed in the midst of university life, with its bustling campus activities and quiet moments of study sessions turned into heartfelt conversations. Through late-night conversations and weekend trips to Asheville, we grew closer, discovering not only our shared ambitions and dreams but also the comfort and joy of being together. Western Carolina University became not just a place of learning but a backdrop to our love story—a place where we forged memories that we will cherish forever. As we prepare to embark on the next chapter of our journey together, we look back with gratitude at the university that brought us together and shaped the foundation of our relationship. Our love story has always been intertwined with breathtaking sunsets and moments of quiet awe. It all began one evening at Water Rock Knob, where we shared our very first date watching the sunset, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. Years later, what I thought was going to be a trip to Asheville. We would take a detour to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once again, we arrived at this majestic lookout, surrounded by the misty Blue Ridge Mountains and the whispers of the wind through the trees, I felt a sense of overwhelming gratitude for the journey we had traveled together. Little did I know, this evening to Asheville would actually turn into a new chapter in our story. With the fog settled and rain starting to fall, Kamron took my hand and led me to a spot where we had sat years ago, reminiscing about our dreams and aspirations. Shope, one of our best friends, made us pause for a photo and little did I know the ring was out in his hand for the photos. With a heart full of love and nerves, he knelt down before me, holding out a ring that sparkled in the fading light. In that breathtaking moment, memories of our first date flooded back, intertwining with the overwhelming joy of this new beginning. Shope captured the moment so beautifully and we are so thankful he was there to do so. Shope has seen every stage of our relationship and it only made sense he was there to capture one of the best moments of our life. Through tears of happiness and laughter that echoed through the mountains, I said yes to forever with the person who has been my rock, my confidant, and my greatest adventure. It was a proposal that encapsulated everything we cherish—our love for each other, our deep connection, and the enduring beauty of our shared memories. As we look forward to our wedding day, we carry with us the magic of Water Rock Knob—a place that witnessed both the beginning of our love story and the promise of our future together. We are beyond grateful to share this journey with our beloved family and friends, who have supported and celebrated our love every step of the way.
