We're Getting Married!

Two aspiring educators at the time, Juan and Kamilah first met in the spring of 2024 while working at an elementary school in Columbia, SC. Kamilah was a college student working as an instructional assistant, while Juan was conducting his final student teaching. Remaining professional throughout the duration of the school year, Juan finally decided to make his move near the end of his internship at the school. When Juan expressed his interest for Kamilah, she shared that she had the same feelings built up over the months. Bonding over similar interests like church, sports, and board games, Juan and Kamilah quickly formed a love for each other. Now both first-year teachers teaching third grade, Juan and Kamilah have become each others anchors. The love is so strong that they are ready to take the next step: marriage.
