Buy them as soon as you can, as prices do go up closer to the date. If you are flying in, make sure you fly into La Aurora International Airport Guatemala City.
We recommend you use the Antigua Tours shuttle service to travel from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua and on your trip back. The trip takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours on weekends and 2-3 hours on working days (traffic in Guatemala City is next level). The cost per person is $20 (one way trip) or $35 (round trip). Daily departures at any time. *Please reserve your shuttle prior your trip* For more information and reservations visit: https://antiguatours.net/weddings/mutimer-rivas-wedding/
As noted above the traffic in Guatemala City is horrible...especially on Friday afternoon. We highly suggest trying to come in on Thursday. Not only will this allow you to relax and enjoy the city but it will ensure you don't have to mess with the traffic. However, if you are arriving Friday you should do your best to arrive no later than 1:30 pm. Anytime after 1:30pm and you're looking at a possible 3-4 hour drive. Also, if you are leaving early on Monday morning, you will likely want to leave around 4am - 5am. If you are traveling with Antigua Tours (which we strongly recommend) they will ensure that you leave at the necessary time to catch your flight.
Yes! Both events will be at Casa Santo Domingo Hotel. There is no need to move around.

Some refer to Guatemala as the land of eternal Spring. December is usually a month with bright blue skies (no rain!) and temperatures varying from 12 to 23 C (53 to 73 F). Evenings do get a little chilly, though, so make sure you bring a comfy sweater or a jacket.
