We met at the The University of Houston's ballroom dance club's first lesson of the year and did not think much of it. As time passed and outings with the team turned into talking for hours at the dining hall in the wee hours of the morning, we knew we were meant to be more than friends. The rest is history!

While on a Lake House vacation in the Summer of '23, Kyle planned out an elaborate Japanese Garden visit in an attempt to surprise Maggie with signs spelling out "Will you Marry me?" in a friends' backpack. Due to the heat and miscommunication, that did not happen. After a long day of sightseeing around San Antonio (and another few failed attempts), Kyle, Maggie, and their closest friends played Board Games back at the Lake House. During the game, Maggie found a "cursed ring" item that turned her into a "ghost bride" by random chance from a card at the top of the deck. With a perfect opportunity delivered by the universe itself, Maggie left the room and Kyle rushed to get the signs, flowers, and ring ready. Once Maggie came outside, she answered the one question on his mind all year, and the rest was history. We are very excited to invite our closest friends and family to celebrate our union and wish us well in our future life together. Remember the date, 10/05/25!
