We met when a room went dark in Meme's back bedroom. She called Chris after getting his phone number form her brother to come out and fix a light fixture. It was all downhill from there. Chris's eyes fell to the beauty of her spirit inside and out. Chris went to great length's to get Meme to see him as more than just a friend. Meme decided to take a trip to Virginia with Chris to meet his family and their love story begun and has never ended. Everyday spent together feels like a fairytale and dream come true for the couple. Thank Goodness Meme found her electrician and prince charming!! Just kidding, Meme and Chris have been blessed to find one another and are grateful to share their love with the world.

The weekend of MLK birthday, the couple took a trip to Memphis, TN. On a very windy and cold day, after going to the Loraine Motel and viewing the African American historical landmarks Meme was ready to get inside to some heat; however, Chris had other plans for the couple. Chris took Meme to Shelby Farms Park. Meme was complaining the entire time about how cold she was and wanted to go back to the car as the couple strolled through the park admiring the beautiful site. While Meme had her back towards Chris, feeding the ducks in the water, Chris got on one knee and proposed.
