We met in the Fall of 2010 at George Mason University. We were both enrolled in an Introduction to Psychology class. Our friends introduced us to one another at a study session. After that, we spent a lot of time together and ultimately fell in love. Our relationship grew, but ended after almost 2 years. We were obviously young, naive, and very immature. After all that time together, we broke up via text message. In hindsight this really ended up being the best decision. We had grown apart. We didn’t appreciate each other like we should have, and we had a lot of living and growing to do, as individuals. We spent the next 4 years becoming the people we’re proud of today, and without any contact whatsoever. In mid 2016 a friend orchestrated us contacting each other. Our first face to face meeting almost didn’t happen at all. Plans fell through and we both lost hope of rekindling anything. To this day I, Kameryn, do not believe Dean was actually too sick to join me for lunch. A few months passed and eventually we ended up getting it together and meeting for lunch. Initially there wasn’t much of a spark due to nerves. But both of us felt a connection brewing and wanted to explore the option of getting to know each other again. On December 3, 2016, we made it official again. Since then we have purchased a home together, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into our lives and shared far too many laughs to count. Our story and love really proves that timing and growth are everything, and essential. We love one another dearly and share an amazing friendship. We try to communicate and love wholeheartedly and always remember that we are best friends above all else.
