Lauren and Kameron initially met through Brennan and Emery. Lauren worked at the childcare center in Mustang that the kids attended. When it came time to move the kids to a center in Tuttle, Lauren and Kameron stumbled upon each other on Bumble. Kameron asked Lauren to come over one evening to help “watch the kids” while he worked for a little bit. Though disappointed, Lauren agreed. Luckily for her, Kameron didn’t actually need a babysitter. He had cooked dinner instead and the kids were just his ice breaker.
I knew from the moment I first came over that Kameron was a special person. But I never could have imagined just how important he would be to me. On a day prior to me moving in Kameron sent me text while I was working. At this time I worked in Mustang and lived in North Edmond. The text was simple and to the point, "I think I'm going to have a seizure, I'm gonna go home for the day." This was early on in the morning. I went all day without hearing from him. By the time I left work, I just had to know whether or not Kameron had made it back home. So I drove from Mustang to Bridge Creek, just to make sure I saw his truck in the drive. I knew that if he had made it there, then he was okay. Once I got there, I saw the truck so I pulled in, backed out and drove back to Edmond. That was when I knew I loved Kameron. A couple days later I went to his house for dinner, chicken spaghetti. He always made chicken spaghetti when I came over, I was starting to think it was all that he knew how to cook. As we were cleaning up dinner, I told him I loved him.
“Beautiful Crazy” Lauren said “I love you” first. One night out on the deck she shared her story and her heart. I wasnt quite ready, but that was ok with her. She let me take my time. About a week after as I was mowing the lawn, listening to a random shuffle as she was playing with the kids. The song “Beautiful Crazy” came on, seeing her with them and how happy she was in that moment with them, thats when I knew. That night we all went to I hop, as we were waiting for our food and we were coloring with the kids I had an idea. With a blue crayon I took the napkin wrapper and wrote “I love you too” folded it up and handed it to her like a kid passing notes in class.
