It was February 2014 when Danno and Kamber met through mutual friends in Saint Paul, MN. Through conversations about Kamber living out Danno’s dream of having a pet raccoon they made an instant connection. Luckily Kamber was already looking for jobs and planning to move to Saint Paul in the near future! Not even 4 weeks later they went on a spontaneous trip down the West coast from San Francisco to San Diego. It was there that they knew this was definitely something special. Throughout the last 3.5 years traveling has become a passion for the couple. They’ve been to California, Punta Cana, Lake Tahoe, and Mexico (x3). It’s a tradition they never want to give up!

Danno proposed to Kamber on a very windy evening at the Wagner family cabin on June 9th, 2017. The Cabin had been a very special place for them where they had spent every possible summer moment on the pontoon and dancing the night away in the boathouse or under the stars. Danno always planned to propose there as it had been such an instrumental place for growing their love for almost 4 years! Unfortunately, the cabin sold so Danno planned to combine the proposal with an official send off their last time up there. They each wrote a farewell and thank you note on a Chinese lantern hoping to send it off into the universe. Planning to signify another chapter of their life, the goal was to get down on one knee to surprise Kam right as the lanterns left view… Well, unfortunately, it was extremely windy and while lighting the lantern it became engulfed in flames. Not wanting to give up, Danno held it right to the last minute, hoping to get enough hot air to soar. Once he let go, it immediately fell to the pontoon floor and had to be kicked off the front of the pontoon into the lake to avoid an even bigger fire. Through the laughter, Danno was still able to get down on one knee and propose! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives together with you!
