We Are Getting Married!

Kevin had told Kam that his Uncle would be perfect for her! Only problem, he lives in another state....With Mike in California and Kam in Florida the introduction was over text and phone calls so that we could just have someone to chat with as we were both single parents to teenagers! It did not take long to realize we were going to be more than just friends as our connection was so strong. Mike booked his first trip to Florida less than a month after our first phone call....and the rest is history!

Mike did so much planning for this special day! He had spoken to all the important people in Kam's life... Her parents who he had a whole long conversation planned for, but Bob and Bev immediately said "Go for it". No explanation necessary. We love you! Her "extra" parents, Rick and Charlene were also over the moon excited. Hannah...now Hannah put Mike through the ringer asking what his intentions were and other deep questions like "are you going to be a good grandfather to my kids?" Mike ultimately got Hannah's blessing! Hunter and Hayden didn't have too much to say except, you make my mom really happy so I think that's awesome. Mike carefully planned a stay at Safety Harbor Spa but Hannah could not get in town for the surprise after so the engagement actually happened the next day. Mike insisted on going to walk on the beach and see the sunset, but as we checked the weather, we realized a storm might be headed our way. We went to Indian Rocks Beach and after walking a bit, the clouds cleared, and we found a spot to sit and even in that moment I didn't realize what was happening...Mike got down on one knee and said "I know I'm not your first love, or your first kiss, or even your first marriage, but I'd like to be your last everything!" Mic Drop! I'm yours Michael Cervoni!

We have a unique "courting" story as Mike lives in California and Kam lives in Florida, but you can't stop true love! We both committed to not going more than 6 weeks without seeing each other. This meant lots of coordination and travel, but every time we got together, we knew it was all worth it!
