Once upon a swipe, in December of 2020, the stars aligned, and Kamden and Sam just so happened to be within the 20 mile radius on Bumble. Even though Sam had some cringey pictures on his profile (shirtless gym pics), Kamden chose to swipe right. Once they matched, the rest was history. After their first FaceTime together consisted of 4 hours of them talking, they knew they had found something special. Among other "signs", they realized they both could have easily passed each other on the street several times through Sam working on houses in the same neighborhood Kamden lived in and frequently hanging out at the same bars years prior. They also talked extensively about their love for Marvel, Football, Disney, the beach, and their shared life values/goals. Through a combined passion for traveling, going to concerts, and just simply being with one another, they quickly became best friends. From walks at Centennial Park, and weeknight Snowball Stand dates, to binge watching their favorite movies and shows (Strangers Things, Harry Potter, and Disney Documentaries), they felt so lucky to be at the spot they were in together. Within their first 2.5 years of dating, they made countless memories, many alongside their wonderful family and friends (that's you!). Some of these include: playing 9 sports together, traveling to 14 US states, 3 countries, and attending at least 59 concerts. Ask them what they love about each other… Kamden will tell you that Sam has this insane ability to keep her grounded, and making every day feel simultaneously comforting and exciting. Sam, on the other hand, will share that Kamden has a special way of turning ordinary daily life moments into something goofy and significant. Sam’s proposal could not have been any more perfect! They woke up to a very rare and rainy day in Long Beach, California. Kamden was in a seamlessly calm state and without blinking an eye said yes to seeing the swells by the ocean. After a 40 minute car ride, a flight of steps, and crossing a river on this flooded beach…with one look, Kamden knew Sam was about to get down on one knee! It was truly a complete surprise for Kamden, and Sam’s mission was accomplished. They popped champagne and celebrated the rest of the day watching football and eating Sushi with Kamden’s cousins. Together, they’ve discovered that the best adventures are the ones they create with each other and they feel so grateful for their partnership. They could not be more excited for you to join them this fall as they say "I do" and kick off the next phase of their life together. November 3, 2021: Sam’s first Disney Trip (Coronado Springs Resort stay) April 22, 2022: First trip out of the country together (Cancun, Mexico) September 15, 2023: First Disney Cruise Together on the Disney Wish January 20, 2024: The “Yes!” Day
