What does Summer Elegant mean?

Answer

We want you to look and feel your best while dancing your face off. If you want to really dress up like a queen, please do it. If you want to be a bit more casual in a sundress/khakis (aka no suit & tie), be our guest, but just look fresh and fab. Comfort is key, so it's totally up to you we just want you to feel goooooooood. but anyway it's a backyard wedding so it's not as fancy as your typical NJ Bouje fest, but it's still our wedding so look good people<3

Why does it end at 11?

Unfortunately the beautiful town of Spring Lake has a STRICT noise ordinance at 11 so, we have to abide.

No inside access?

Answer

No, this is a strict no. Although for the night this is our venue, this is Marlene and Andy's (and temporarily the newlyweds' thanks to the generosity of Andy and Mar) home. we want it to remain intact inside so with your respect please stay outside.

So then where are we going to the bathroom?

Restrooms will be easily accessed in the front yard, you won't miss em!

Parking situation?

Answer

The neighboring streets, and Remsen, all have plenty of room for parking. It obviously goes without saying but no drinking and driving. It would be best to carpool and uber if possible. There is NO OVERNIGHT parking. I repeat cars are ticketed if you leave the car overnight. So if you drive, and end up drinking because you realize you stepped into the best wedding of your lifetime, and leave your car on the street, you'll prob get a ticket. Just uber.

Why is Asbury popping off?

Answer

This weekend happens to be the same weekend as Sea Hear Now Festival, a music festival. So be aware if you want to pop into asbury or you’re staying there, there may be traffic etc.

Sleeping Accommodations/Hotels

We tried our best reaching out to people to give them a heads up, but the local hotels would NOT let me reserve room blocks due to busy season. I believe most of you have your stay figured out. Here's a list of hotels you can reach out to if not. Also Air bnb still has plenty local listings available. Chateau Inn and Suites The Grand Victorian Hotel The Ocean House Bed and Breakfast Breakers on the Ocean Spring Lake Inn Asbury Ocean Club Hotel There are so many more, google is our friend just type in spring lake hotels.

Any major RULES we need to know?

glad you asked. my one and only rule is DO NOT talk during speeches. I gave a wonderful, funny, literally amazing speech at my sister's wedding, and this one table wouldn't stop talking and was unbelievably loud. It's hard enough to get up there and speak for some people so please don't make it harder. I will literally never forget those who ruined it for my sisters', & imagine me never forgetting you ruining mine. I'm a grudge holder so lets not play!!!! But really if you know me, speeches are my favorite part of any night, I honestly might do my own who knows, and now I finally get my night to hear how much people love me, please don't ruin it!!! xoxo love Kalyn your boss bride
