There was a time, not that long ago, when I was unable to be convinced that there was someone out in the world who would break down every barrier and show me exactly just how wrong I was. Although there will always be outside influences, your true path will always happen the way it was meant to, in the time it was meant to. Nothing has shown me this principle in action more than the journey that brought Kalyn and I together and, ultimately, to here... Ok, lets just skip to the good part!!! You know how them girls be when they all get together and start dreamin up trouble, right??? Well, let me tell you what! Trouble has a ring-leader, and her name is Makinsey Bolden! This ball starts rolling with her playing match-maker and whispering in both Kalyn's ear and mine about how we would be a good fit and she needed a couple for her and Seth to double date with anyway. Kalyn ended up reaching out to me via Friend request on FB early summer of 2022. Me being me, I IMMEDIATELY accepted it, stalked her pictures for 2 or 3 minutes and.......promptly did nothing else until I had almost forgotten about Kalyn completely. It wasn't until December of 2022, when Kalyn posted a couple pictures of her at a friend's wedding and Seth Bolden gave me a solid nudge that I sat down and scratched out a message to Kalyn to see if she was still interested in meeting me. It only took over half a year to get the ball rolling, but i firmly believe the timeline worked out exactly how it was supposed to. We talked every day for several weeks before meeting up for our first date. We went to George's in Hewitt for early dinner and then Waco Axe Co for some friendly competition that evening. I knew by Christmas that I was gonna have to work double time to lock down this catch!!! As we learned each other and grew over the next couple months, I came to realize that the only explanation for how well we work together, think alike and compliment each other's short comings is that God built us for each other and made sure we both had the time to walk our necessary paths to grow into the people we needed to be so that we would be able and ready to love and cherish each other completely.

After months of our mutual friends trying to get us to meet, he messaged me on Facebook and after that, it was history. We talked nonstop until about 3 days later when we finally met in person at Seth & Makinsey's house. We hung out for a little bit, but I was definitely more interested in jumping on the trampoline with Branson (Seth & Makinsey's kid). If you have anxiety, you know. Anyways, thankfully that didn't change his mind and a few days after that we went on our first date which was to Georges & Waco Axe and then we basically ding dong ditched Mcdonalds. One date led to another, and after about the 1st date, I knew he was something special, and I was very hopeful about our future. We always joke about us being the same person and it's never been truer. He is me in guy form. Our second date was to Longhorn Cavern State Park and breakfast at Cracker Barrell, which quickly became one of our favorite places to go get breakfast at. Hiking and eating are really two of our favorite things to do :)
