You can rent tubes at the park, and there is a shuttle to take you back to the beginning after you float the whole river! Approximately 1 hour floating time.

Downtown Bend has a variety of fun shops, restaurants and bars to explore.
Elk Lake Resort is one of our favorite lakes to visit during the summer. It is about 45 minutes outside of town, with beautiful mountain views on the drive there. They have kayak and paddle board rentals, and even cabins you can rent overnight.
The Deschutes River Trail is a beautiful hiking trail in the middle of town that is around 3 miles long, it starts at Riverbend Park and wraps around the Deschutes River. There is parking along Reed Market Road or in Riverbend Park to access the trail. This is one of our favorite hikes because it is so close but has great views and access points into the river.
Pilot Butte is a butte in the middle of town with a trail going to the very top, with stunning 360° views of Bend.
Smith Rock is a gorgeous hiking trail close to Terrebonne.
There are a variety of rivers and lakes in and out of town where you can go fly fishing. For more information, there is a fly fishing shop in the Old Mill District where you can rent equipment and be directed to the best fly fishing spots.
Northwest Crossing is a restaurant area on the Westside of Bend that has a variety of tasty restaurants and bakeries. During the summer, they hold a farmers market every Saturday.
Drake Park is a beautiful park that lines the Deschutes River and is right next to Downtown Bend, it is great for a casual stroll but also has lots of events during the summer.
