Walking trails and history. Every time we come to town we try to walk this trail! 3.3 miles total. Walking through the sand dunes and under the canopy of trees is a great way to get your exercise in while also viewing the beauty of North Carolina.
Take a walk through the aquarium to see the Queen Anne's Revenge Shipwreck. There is an outdoor area to view the marsh lands and also clear trails to walk along. May want to reserve tickets ahead of time due to limited capacity.
Ever had a Pepsi Float? Stop in to see the memorabilia on your way to (or from) the airport to see the historical landmark in New Bern.

Another disc golf course that is on the water. Lots of tomahawks and laughter here.
Take an Island Express Ferry ride to the lighthouse. Depart from Front Street, 45 minute ride there. Climb to the top of the 163' lighthouse for an extra fee. *Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended
Drive one of the most scenic routes in the country! Open water, wildlife, and vista points to enjoy. Round trip to Cedar Island is about 2 hours.
Drive the Scenic Byway about 45 minutes to get a taste of Nature's beauty and also a mom and pop diner dear to our hearts. Freshly caught fish from the Core Sound, burgers, fried okra, and memories on the water.
