We first met in December 2020 while selling knives at Cutco (yes, really!) By the summer of 2021, we had become inseparable best friends—spending countless late nights watching movies, talking until 4am, and on the phone. In early 2024, Grafton worked up the courage to ask Kalli out. She said no (oops), and we ended up losing touch for a few months. But in August, Kalli reached out, and we slowly started reconnecting. A few weeks later, on September 2nd, we hung out again—and we really hit it off. At the end of the night, Grafton asked if Kalli would be open to giving things a real shot. This time, she said yes. Our first date was that Friday: mini golf and dinner. One week later, on September 9th, we officially became a couple. Fast forward to spring 2025—while on a trip to the Black Hills, Grafton secretly woke up at 4:30am to set up a surprise scavenger hunt for Kalli. Each clue took her on a trip down memory lane, filled with riddles and meaningful moments from their relationship. What Grafton didn’t anticipate was Kalli taking 2.5 hours to get ready—so he ended up hiding behind a shack near the Airbnb from 7am until she finally left around 10:30am. The final clue led Kalli back to our Airbnb, where Grafton was waiting (ring in his pocket). She said yes 💍 Now here we are—getting married and building the next chapter of our story, together.
