Like many great love stories, theirs began in the least romantic place imaginable: an Amazon warehouse. Hired just weeks apart from each other, they were hidden behind face masks for their first few interactions. Five years later, they are still working at Amazon—but now they're planning a wedding instead of their next shift.
LaDarius planned to propose not once, not twice, but three times. The first attempt ended with a day at the hospital. The second ended with an ambulance ride. By the third attempt, he wisely decided to propose at home, where emergency medical services were less likely to be involved. Third time was the charm, and Kallen said yes! The ring is a family heirloom from Kallen's beloved late grandmother, Agnes Plunkett.
Kallen and LaDarius welcomed their first born son, Robert Javon Echols on September 4th, 2025. He weighed 7lbs 15.8oz, and was 21.5 inches long. He shares a birthday with his Lola, Kallen's mother. He is named after the late Robert Johnson (grandfather of the bride) and Javon Trezevant (cousin of the groom).
