We met the first day of marching band at Northern State University in the fall of 2012. Kallan was a freshman from the farm and Chris was a senior getting ready to graduate and move to Las Vegas. Neither of us were necessarily thrilled for marching band itself, but we were excited to get to know each other. It was love at first sight- Chris saw Kallan’s fiery red hair and sassy personality and Kallan couldn’t get enough of Chris’s Italian rockstar hair and blue eyes. Finally the day came where Chris asked Kallan out to coffee and we were inseparable until he graduated and pursued his musical dream. Over the years we have always kept in touch, especially since we share a birthday week! Chris has never missed a single birthday of Kallan's. We have always connected over our love of music, traveling, and the Notebook. Finally, summer/fall 2023 came around, we reconnected, and it was love at first sight, again. We are so thankful to have gotten each other back, and can't believe after almost "A bakers dozen” years, we finally get to be together.
