The Legit Love-Story

We first met as friends in 2021. From the very beginning, our shared love for the ministry, our devotion to Jehovah, and our deep appreciation for spiritual things created an instant connection. We both had outgoing personalities and loved to laugh, so conversations flowed naturally and easily with a spark. As the years went by, rather than rushing into a relationship, we focused on building a genuine friendship. There was a comfort between us, a feeling of being completely ourselves, silly quirks and all. Our personalities just clicked effortlessly. We created many memories together: traveling with friends, singing along to YouTube songs, cracking inside jokes, writing letters over Zoom, and having conversations about everything and nothing. We gave each other funny nicknames-Skinnydip and Koba-and found joy in the littlest things. Through it all, our bond grew deeper. We got to know each other inside and out. Beyond the fun and laughs, we saw each other's highs and lows, strengths and weaknesses, and witnessed our endurance through difficult times, our complete reliance on Jehovah, and the way we supported each other spiritually and emotionally. Most people love Jehovah but our love for Jehovah was tested, and we both saw that the love we have for Jehovah is legit. That deepened our love in a way that was more than brotherly, it was personal and lasting. It became clear that we weren't just good friends, like Ruth and Naomi (Ruth 1:16, 17) it became evident that we were the missing pieces in each other's lives. It was not just things we needed in a friend, but in a lifelong partner, and it was right in front of us. What we found in each other was loyalty - to our faith, but also to one another. That loyalty became the foundation for something more. Eventually, we confessed how much we truly cared for one another. Our friendship blossomed into a courtship, our courtship into an engagement, and now we’re stepping into marriage. Imperfect-but imperfectly perfect for each other.
