We're Getting Married!!

It was May of 2016, a time of change and new beginnings. I had no idea that a simple favor would lead to something I would cherish forever. At the time, one of my close friends was dating his brother, Ty, and we had been in each other's circles for a while, but our paths had never really crossed. That was until Ty, who was going out of town, asked me for a favor. He needed someone to watch his dogs while he was away, and being a dog lover, I couldn’t say no. I agreed, not thinking much of it—just another task on my to-do list. But little did I know that this small act would turn into the beginning of something extraordinary. When I arrived at Ty’s place the next day to go over things about the dogs; I was met by the sound of excited barking. And then, there he was— Ty’s brother Rob, the guy I had heard about but never truly met. Rob, looked at me with curiosity and a bit of surprise, as if he hadn’t expected me to be the one helping out. We exchanged polite greetings, a little awkward at first. But once we started talking about the dogs, something clicked. There was an ease in our conversation, a natural flow. I found myself laughing more than I expected, and he seemed to enjoy my company as well. We talked about everything from our favorite hobbies to the quirks of Ty’s dogs, and time seemed to fly by. As the days went on, we found ourselves talking a little longer, getting to know each other more. The conversations shifted from small talk to deeper, more personal stories. I discovered that he had a sense of humor that matched mine, a calmness that put me at ease, and a genuine kindness that made him stand out from everyone else. By the time Ty returned from his trip, Rob and I were inseparable. I realized I had already started looking forward to seeing him more than I ever thought I would. And sure enough, we started spending more time together, just enjoying each other’s company in the most effortless way. Fast forward to now, and here we are, still laughing, still talking, still growing together. What started with a simple favor, a few dogs, and a shared love of good conversation turned into something so much more. In a way, it was fate that our paths finally crossed, and I wouldn't change a single moment of that May 2016. Because if I hadn’t agreed to watch those dogs, I might never have met the love of my life!
