It was a typical Easter Holiday, and I (Kalisa) was looking for something to do to past the time and found out my friends were headed to the beach, so of course I had to join. With Cabbage beach being one of the usual "hang out" spots amongst our peers we ended up on the exact same beach, but on two totally different ends. However, it was not until him (Garrison) and his cousin (Alicia) were headed back down the beach towards their end that I actually saw and met him. I knew Alicia and proceeded to hail her as she was walking by and that's when Garrison injected himself into our conversation and told Alicia to introduce us. After we briefly chatted he told me that he would find me on facebook and to my surprise he did just that. We became good friends and the rest was history!

We had talked about getting married so I had a feeling Garrison was going to pop the question soon, but was unsure when he actually would do it. I wanted it to be a surprise but my goodness was it hard not to guess every time we went out for a special event. He eventually ended up proposing to me on December 22nd, 2018 when we were spending Christmas abroad to my family. I had thought there was a chance he might have propose during the holidays, but I was certain he wouldn’t do it on Christmas Eve or Christmas day as it's so cliche to him lol. On our 2nd day in Tennessee, we decided to go out shopping and as suggested by my fiance, we stopped to look at engagement rings. After almost an hour fishing thru showcases to find the one, by my surprise, he chose two that were both his and my favorite. After taking the two rings for a spin and showing off my hand to my niece over and over. At this point both Garrison and my niece were rolling their eyes at me to choose already. FINALLY I made my decision on what in my opinion is the most gorgeous ring and that's when he popped the question asking me to be his wife. And OF COURSE the answer was YESSSSSSSS! I was honestly completely surprised and the moment felt so surreal. What started off as window shopping in my eyes actually ended up being the best day of my life! It makes me so giddy thinking about it. Garrison is a man that I have dreamed about and prayed for and my heart is bursting at the seams. I am in awe and overjoyed with gratitude. We are so excited to get MARRIED!!!
