Travel Note
Book Early for Best Prices International flights usually have the best deals 4–8 months in advance. We recommend setting up a price alert on Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Hopper so you’ll be notified when fares drop. Flexible Arrival & Departure We are not requiring a minimum number of nights for your stay. Please book the dates that work best for you. Airports Most international guests will fly into Bangkok (BKK), about 1.5–2 hours from Pattaya. You can also choose to fly directly into Pattaya (UTP – U-Tapao International Airport) if that’s more convenient. Hotels We recommend staying at Pullman Pattaya Hotel G, a beautiful and convenient location for the wedding. Guests are free to book accommodations that suit their preferences and budget. After the Wedding Feel free to join us in our travels after the wedding if your schedule allows! We’ll share details about our post-wedding plans for anyone who would like to come along.
Travel Note
Currency Thailand uses the Thai Baht (THB). Before You Leave: Exchange a small amount of your home currency at your bank to cover initial expenses. At the Airport: Convenient but usually higher fees — use for small amounts only. In Pattaya: ATMs and local currency exchange shops often offer better rates than airports. Tip: Have a mix of cash and card — cash for markets and taxis, card for hotels and larger purchases. Mobile / eSIMs Staying connected is easy with a local SIM or an eSIM. eSIM Option: Airalo offers affordable Thailand eSIMs that can be installed before your trip, so you have data immediately on arrival. Local SIMs: Available at airports, convenience stores, and mobile shops. Popular carriers include AIS, TrueMove H, and Dtac. Most hotels provide free Wi-Fi, but mobile data is handy for navigation, rides, and instant communication. Transportation From Bangkok (BKK) Airport: Pattaya is about 1.5–2 hours away by car or shuttle. From Pattaya (UTP – U-Tapao Airport): About 30–45 minutes to central Pattaya. Local Travel: Taxis, Grab rideshares, and hotel shuttles are widely available. Tuk-tuks are fun for short trips — negotiate fares upfront. Voltage & Adapters Thailand uses 220V, 50Hz with plug types A, B, C. Bring a universal travel adapter if needed. Food & Drinks Street food is delicious. Bottled water is recommended for drinking. Restaurants usually accept cards, but keep cash for small stalls or tipping. Apps to Download Google Maps – navigation and directions. Grab – rideshare and food delivery. Google Translate – useful for menus or signs. Optional: currency conversion app for quick reference. 💡 Pro Tip: Keep small bills handy for taxis, tips, or market purchases — it’s easier than breaking large notes in shops.
