Question

What are the COVID-19 precautions?

Answer

We understand the seriousness with the pandemic, and your safety is our number one priority. Currently, North Carolina does not have any restrictions when it comes to masks. Some places may recommend masks if not fully vaccinated. Our venue is not requiring masks. The ceremony and reception are outside, so masks are not required. However, we want all our guests to be safe and respect the safety of others. It's also unclear of what the state restrictions are going to be come time for our celebration. If something changes with our time line, we will notify everyone.

Question

What is the food and drink situation? Is it an open bar?

Answer

Each guest will choose one of three plated options. There are also vegetarian and allergy sensitive options available. For the menu, see menu tab. It will be an open bar during cocktail hour and the reception. Wine service only during dinner. Please drink responsibly.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

As much as we'd like to invite all our friends' children, we can only accommodate a few. Therefore we have decided to invite those of which are in the wedding. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only and we will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation

Question

Is there transportation from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

There is not. The hotel shuttles only travel in a 5 mile radius. The hotels are about 15 miles from the airport. There are Uber, Lyft, and taxi services available if you choose not to rent a car.

Question

Will there be transportation between the hotel and ceremony location?

Answer

Yes. There will be a shuttle from the hotel to the venue for all guests, regardless if you are staying at Homewood Suits (where the room block is). The shuttle will run from 2:30pm-3:30pm, and again from 9:30pm-10:30pm. With 5 or 6 hotels down the street from the venue, there will be ample transportation options, including Uber and Lyft.

Question

Where should I park? Is it free? Is there wheelchair or handicap accessibility?

Answer

All guests should use the main parking lot for the country club. It is free to all guests. The hotel is also providing a shuttle from the hotel to the venue. The parking lot and the venue are wheelchair or handicap accessible with closer spaces and a ramp.

Question

What is the attire for the ceremony?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony is formal. No jeans, shorts, or leggings please. There is also no theme to our wedding.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? We've hired professionals to capture one of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for them to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like. We promise to share all photos as soon as we can. We want you to be fully present, and want you to be fully present and enjoy this moment with us.

Question

What is the hotel room block cancelation policy/process?

Answer

We recommend everyone reserving their room at the hotel as soon as possible. There is no money down or payment due upon booking. You can cancel up to 24 hours prior to check in with no charge or penalty.

Question

What is the typical weather for October in North Carolina?

Answer

North Carolina is beautiful during the fall, with temperatures typically between 55-80. Our ceremony and reception will be under a climate controlled tent, while cocktail hour will be inside. Standing heaters will also be outside should the temperature drop. The outdoors floor is paved brick, so wear appropriate footwear.

Question

What is the welcome event?

Answer

Due to the large number of out of town guests that we are hosting, we are unable to have everyone attend the rehearsal dinner. This event allows time for all guests to be able to mingle, get to know each other, and visit with the bride and groom.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The bride is walking down the aisle at 4:00pm. Please arrive by 3:30pm to be seated.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is September 10th. You can mail back the RSVP, or do it online under the RSVP tab.

Question

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

You may take any part of the floral arrangements. You may not take the candle center piece, as it is property of the venue.

Question

I still have questions. What's the best way to contact you?

Answer

Please email any additional questions to ckmdwedding@outlook.com.
