What if we can't make the trip?

Answer

We absolutely understand if you cannot make such a distant trip, but we obviously want everyone to know they are invited! If you can't make it, just let us know! We get it - life happens and we all have our own things going on!

Is this going to be a formal event?

Answer

I mean, if any of you really know us, you know we aren't super formal! When we talk about our wedding, we want it to be the most relaxed it can be. We have a vision of our family and friends hanging out enjoying each others company in one of the most relaxing and beautiful places that we both enjoy. Will there be dinner? -- Absolutely, we plan to set up seating for everyone to sit and eat dinner and we may have small cake to cut, but it definitely will not be a formal reception!

What will there be to do at the "Reception"?

Answer

The VRBO we have rented has a barn in the backyard that has been renovated to house an event. This will be set up more for a "reception", but nothing too fancy! The barn is in the backyard of the house, which will be accessible to everyone invited! The house features a rec room, pool table, ping pong table, shuffleboard, and a media/theater room. Along with that, there is a firepit in the backyard that everyone will have access to. There will be music set up in the barn, but most likely not a live DJ, so if you have specific song requests, let us know!

How many days does your event include?

Answer

Like I said before, we have talked about this adventure being the most enjoyable and relaxed that we can possibly make it. With that being said, we have decided that the ceremony and the reception will be Friday afternoon/evening. There will not be a rehearsal the day before. We plan to site-see and explore the area the day before and the day after, and plan to come home Sunday! If you'd like to do the same, then feel free, but the wedding events will only tie up your time on Friday! :)

What all is there to do in the area?

Answer

Great question! With the scenery around the area being absolutely amazing, there is a ton to do! We will be staying about 45min to an hour south of Denver, but I have also listed many things to do around the Colorado Springs area on the "Things to do" page. Go check it out!

Do we fly or do we drive?

Answer

This is completely personal preference! We have has some family tell us they are going to drive, but of course, we will fly!
