Lukas and Kali

Thank you Jesus for allowing us to meet. Lukas and Kali met in February 2023 at an apartment party. Kali was wandering around and happened to come across a pen (she later found out that it was CRUCIAL that pen was returned to its rightful owner, but not before Kali met Lukas) Kali was offering tattoos with the pen and Lukas happened to be one of her canvas'. Kali wrote something funny, but too inappropriate to share on a wedding website (imagine that). Lukas offered to return the favor and it ended up being his snapchat (smooth). They shared a first date at the gym because Lukas stated no plates, no dates. (Kali did not bench a plate) Yet, miraculously, she got a second date at Buffalo Wild Wings (Lukas had a gift card). At the time, Kali was living with Jake and Steph and Lukas was at home. Kali found it endearing and slightly mortifying when Lukas came into the house to pick her up for her first date and everyone was home. Kali pushed past this and they started spending time reading the Bible together in parks, over FaceTime, and spending time together after volleyball practice while waiting for Sophie to finish her practice. The same year they started dating, Kali and Lukas got an apartment together (when you, you know) and spent many nights enjoying the luxury of DoorDash and city life. They adopted a Goldendoodle (Kali's idea) and a cat (Kali 's idea RIP). Lukas put up with Kali and her stress of starting a new business and was gracious and helpful and loving the whole way through (and continues to be). Turns out, you can't keep Lukas out of the country long. They started their homestead in Glenburn, ND at Kali's grandparents house. There, they had goats, chickens, ducks, meat rabbits, and more cats. The time came to move and they spent a lovely 3.5 months at Kali's dad's house when Lukas found out, you do have to pay attention to the stove when cooking with grease. Since then, they have stayed with Brandi, Pat and Amy, and found temporary residence with Kaylee. Amongst everything else, they spent time traveling to ski resorts, National Parks, growing in their faith and getting to know each other more every day.
