Kalliopi's mom, Anastasia, got invited by John's mom, Niki, to give a talk in Denver for the Wellesley College Alumni club out in Denver, Colorado. Kalliopi decided to go with her Mom since she enjoyed traveling out west. At the event, Kalliopi met Niki, who showed a picture of John to her. Niki then coordinated a dinner for the two families, and the rest is history!

John took Kalliopi to Winter Island in Salem, Massachusetts where a couple years prior they had visited and enjoyed themselves at a local Greek Festival. At that same beautiful spot on the ocean where we had sat years ago, he popped the question!
