Rachael and Kali met when they were only 2 years old in pre-k at the JCA. They have been best friends ever since. They have grown together and also brought their families together as close family friends. Rachael is a trauma ICU nurse. They share their love of travel and go on vacation together whenever they get a chance. They also both share a passion for fitness, dogs, and of course drinking margs by the water.
Tal Richard
Best Man
Tal is Derek's best friend. They met working at Publix in 2016. They became roommates in 2021 along with Michael. Tal and Derek share a love of Pokemon and board games. Tal moved to Chicago to pursue his passion for construction management. Tal is also getting married this year in November to his gorgeous fiance Domenica.
Lauren Keller
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Kali met at Fletcher High School in the AICE program. They have kept in contact ever since then and have supported each other through all of life's good times and challenges. Lauren now works as an architect and is pursuing her master's degree. One of their favorite activities to do together is go to Christian concerts around Jacksonville.
Pam Robertson
Bridesmaid
Pam is the life of the party! Pam is Kali's cousin and also shares a love for travel and vacation. Pam loves girls' trips and never says no to a good time. Pam manages a post office in Virginia and inspires people daily with her positive attitude and outlook on life. She is kind, loving, and supportive and always puts a smile on peoples' faces.
Jessica Zarkis
Bridesmaid
Jessica is Kali's stepsister. They met at the fair when Jessica's dad Gary and Kali's mom Tracey were dating. Jessica works in the pharmacy. She is an avid bowler and plays on a local bowling league. She also loves to go to sports games. Jessica and Kali have enjoyed many good times together and both share a love for waterparks, shopping and animals.
Stephanie McCaffrey
Bridesmaid
Stephanie is Kali's stepsister. She has lived all over the United States and even in London, England. Stephanie has two masters degrees and works in urban planning. Stephanie and Kali both share a passion for running and have also traveled many places together. They also share a love for cooking and healthy living. Stephanie is also a volunteer for local Park Runs where she shares her love for running with the community.
Tracey Zarkis
Mother of the Bride
Tracey is Kali's mother. She couldn't ask for a better mother. Tracey works for Carnival cruise lines and has graciously coordinated this wonderful ceremony. She is Kali's mother and best friend. Everyone says they look just alike. Tracey inspired Kali's passion for fitness by showing her dedication to exercise since Kali was a baby. They also love to travel together and go to Disney.
Vernon Miller
Father of the Bride
Vernon is Kali's father. Vernon has always been such a kind and caring dad. He shares a love of the ocean and water sports with Kali. They love to paddle board or go boating together whenever they get a chance. Vernon works in IT security. Vernon is an excellent cook and always comes up with the most creative dishes. He has inspired Kali to do the same and now they love cooking together.
Maria Roberts
Mother of the Groom
Maria is Derek's mother. She is such a sweet woman. She loves gardening in her free time and grows all kinds of fruits, vegetables and flowers. She works at Publix in customer service just like Derek! She has always been so supportive of Derek and Kali's relationship. Derek and Kali are so thankful for Maria.
David Roberts
Father of the Groom
David is Derek's father. He helped raise Derek into the wonderful man he is today. He works in liquor distribution. He likes to play battleship video games. He and Maria fell in love working at Alberton's together. He is an avid train collector.
Gary Zarkis
Step-Father of the Bride
Gary is Kali's step-father. Gary is so kind to Kali and has welcomed her into his life as a daughter. He enjoys running and training for triathlons with Kali. Gary loves to travel and his dog Lacey. Gary works as a database administrator. He and Tracey met through a dating site just like Kali and Derek. Fun fact about Gary, he was a Polish linguist in the Air Force.
Kathy Miller
Step-Mother of the Bride
Kathy is Kali's step-mother. Kathy has welcomed Kali in her life as a daughter and into Kathy's wonderful family. Kali is so grateful to have another family through Kathy. Kathy works in IT at a mortgage company and met Kali's dad through work. Kathy also enjoys water sports and has had such a meaningful impact in Kali and her Father's lives.
Zach Robertson
Ring Bearer
To know Zach is to love Zach. Kali and Derek knew they wanted Zach to be a part of their wedding in some way, and what better way than their ring bearer. Zach is Kali's cousin. He definitely got his mother Pam's spirit for being the life of the party!
