We’re getting married!

The soon to be wedded, met back in the summer of 2013 on a July 4th evening at Lake LBJ. The Brown family had been invited over to the Moore’s lake house to celebrate the 4th of July and watch the annual Kingsland firework show from their backyard. It didnt take long for the two young kids at the time, to catch each other's eyes. And from one conversating group to the next, they wanted to get to know each other more. They laughed, exchanged quirky embarrassing jokes they wish they could take back like 14 year old girls and 15 year old boys do- poking fun at one another. They talked about high school, Kaley’s fears & excitement of transitioning from middle school to high school and Raney assuring her..”It’s so much better than middle school..” (he was right). After that night, Kaley found a way to talk to that boy just ONE more time, using an old relic in the social media world, Kik. This then lead to their first “official” date with friends to the movies just before school started. Fast forward to the first day of school, Raney finally got to ask in person for Kaley to be his girlfriend- she said YES! The two high school sweethearts dated all throughout high school, supporting each other in academics and sports, growing together, learning from one another, making memories they’d one day wish to relive over and over, all while loving one another more each day. After graduating High School Raney pursued a career as a Firefighter/Paramedic attending the A&M TEEX Fire Academy in College Station, while Kaley attended Texas State University pursuing her dream of Nursing. Raney soon after, got his first job as a Firefighter in Victoria, TX. While life only seemed to be getting busier and the two lived in different cities, they were still committed to one another and supported each other from afar & growing in love - along with their now 3 labrador pups - Brandie, Duke & Nahla! Flash forward 8 years later, from the night they first met as kids at that same little house on the lake to July 4th, 2021…the couple gathered with all the people they love and Ranson got down on one knee at the very spot the two met as kids, where he asked Kaley to be his forever. SHE SAID YES! #TheMooreTheMerrier
