Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be located on the rooftop of The Box House Hotel in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Please see the travel page for the hotel's address. Ceremony starts at 4:30PM (sunset is at 4:45PM). Please make sure to arrive at the hotel's rooftop at 4:15 PM to be seated.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be allowed to take their seats at 4:15 PM (We suggest getting there around 4:00 PM which will allow time for you to find the rooftop, grab a drink if you desire, and find a seat) Ceremony starts at 4:30 PM

What’s the dress code?

Semiformal cocktail P.S- There is a retractable roof that will be open unless its raining.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Its gonna be "Fall like". This means it could be warm, perfect, or cold. Our venue has a retractable rooftop that will be open unless there is rain. If temps are chilly, heaters are available to be used. We feel that the dance floor will provide all the heat we'll need though :)

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We are having immediate family bridal party children only.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Duh! Buckle up ya'll! The food and drinks are going to blow you away! We chose this particular venue based on their food and drinks so make sure you come ready to eat and drink :)

I have a vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet/food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let either of us know of any allergies or diet restrictions ASAP. There will be a way to indicate any requests on the invitation. Our venue will accommodate!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

As DJ and I start our lives together, we are especially grateful for all the support from our loved ones. We recognize how lucky we are to be blessed with the necessities of everyday life, and have decided to instead plan an unforgettable honeymoon to celebrate the TRUE beginning of our married life together!! Do you have any hotel recommendations?

The Box House Hotel has great spacious rooms- just make sure to ask for our block! Airbnbs are also being utilized by guests.

What times does the reception end?

11PM... Did someone say there's going to be an afterparty??? Maybe ;)

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

YES! However, we will ask our guests to respect our "unplugged" ceremony/vow renewal. But after that we encourage all pics! Don't forget our wedding hashtag #kaleytoppedthedeanslist so we are able to keep track of all the memories.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

No. Guests staying at airbnb's or another hotel should take advantage of Yellow Taxi cabs or Uber/Lyft services. These services are always readily available.
