Matt and I met while watching the 2017 SEC Championship game at a friends house! My friends were just telling me how they wanted to find someone to set me up with when Matt walked through the door. He definitely caught my eye immediately and I kept finding myself trying to be near him or join in on conversations he was having with other people. Everyone went out to celebrate the win with a karaoke night, and Matt and I hit it off pretty quickly once we got there. Although no karaoke songs were performed that night, we spent the entire night chatting and trying to force each other to go embarrass themselves on stage. About two weeks later he asked me on a date and the rest is history!

Matt and I were at the beach for his family's annual Thanksgiving trip. On the first day we were down there, his mom sent us on an errand before heading to brunch. We drove over to Carillon Beach to run our "errand", which happened to be near a pretty white chapel. Matt handed me a sweet letter to read as we were walking towards the chapel. That is where he dropped down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him! We got to celebrate at brunch with both of our families. It truly was the best day ever!
