Yes, of course! Take I-40 E Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 175 toward NM-14/Cedar Crest Merge onto NM-333 E/Rte 66 Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto NM-14 N Turn left onto Canoncito Slight left onto Cholla Crest Destination will be on the left Upon arrival follow the white balloons along the road which will lead you to the trail head on the other side of the Cravens family home. From here follow the path markers down the trail to the venue.
Since the wedding will be held on private property parking will be along the dirt road leading up to the trailhead that leads down to the venue. You are, of course, allowed to park along the road; however, in an attempt to make the trek a little shorter for guests we are asking that anyone who is driving alone consider carpooling to the wedding, or, meeting up with some friends in the parking lot between RIBS and Cabra Coffee just down the road and then driving up to the trailhead together with some friends in one vehicle. The drive from the parking lot between RIBS & Cabra is only a mile or two from the venue. Carpooling between the "overflow" parking and the trailhead will lessen the amount of cars that are parked on the road and therefore make the trek a little shorter for any late arrivers. Thanks!
Short answer : hot. Longer answer : the days are very warm and temperatures can get up to about 100 degrees. But don't fret! Being situated in a desert we have a dry heat which makes it easier to escape by finding some shade or a building with air conditioning. And although the days are hot things tend to cool down in the evenings making wonderful conditions for sitting outside under the stars very enjoyable. Another thing to note is that the city of Albuquerque tends to be hotter than Cedar Crest (where the wedding will be held) since it is located in the mountains and is higher in elevation. All in all just be sure to bring some sunscreen and cold water if you plan on venturing around outside during midday.
When it comes to our wedding the bottom line is that we just want you there! The attire is set to 'come as you are' which means you are welcome to dress up as much as you'd like, but there are no obligations to do so. We do want to stress, however, that there is some light hiking to get to the wedding venue so a pair of stilettos are not advised. If you are set on wearing a pair of fancy shoes by all means do so, but it would also be wise to bring a back up pair. It is also advised to bring some sort of shawl or light jacket as the evenings do tend to cool off, especially in the mountains; and we mean to party all night so come prepared!
